How to Access the printer to Service Mode
  • Turn off the printer.
  • Press and hold Stop Button first then press and hold the Power button.
  • Still hold the Power button, release the Stop Button.
  • Press the Stop button 5 times then release the power button.
  • The power lamp will be flashing, wait until the lamp stops flashing.
  • Your printer on Service Mode now.

How to Fix Error Code 5B00 without Service Tool or Resetter Program

  • Enter the printer to Service Mode
  • Load paper in the printer tray
  • Press the Stop Button 3x (three times) then press the Power Button to printing Printer Status
  • Check the printed status you can Find Status D=100.0, that's mean the waste ink pad absorber counter is 100% used (full)
  • Let reset it to 0% 
  • Press Stop Button 5x (five times) then press the Power Button
  • The printer will print the printer Status with D=000.0, that means the waste ink pad absorber counter is 0% used
  • Done.You can use your printer again

How to Fix Error Code 5B00 using Canon Service Tool

  • Download Canon Service Tool V5103
  • Connect your printer to Computer
  • Enter the printer to Service Mode
  • Open Canon Service Tool 
  • At the Ink Absorber Counter set Absorber to Main_colour 
  • and the Counter Value(%) to 0
  • Press Set Button
  • Done, Do the printing test
