How to Disassembly Canon MP520 with Picture

On this tutorial, we want to share step by step how to disassembly Canon MP520 with picture.

Side cover removal (Right Side)

1. Remove the top back cover. Slightly lift the front bottom of the back cover and slide it
   
   
   
   
   
2. Remove the 3 screws and rear center frame
   
   
   
   
   
3. Release the 2 bosses and remove the ASF cover unit
   
   
   
   
   
4. Raise the front center a bit (as shown in red color arrow number 1), and then remove the top panel cover. Then remove the indicator lamp (as shown in red color arrow number 2)
   
   
   
   
   
5. Remove 2 screws from the back of the printer
   
   
   
   
   
6. Open the card slot cover, and remove 1 screw
   
   
   
   
   
7. Release the 4 claws, and remove the right side cover
   
   
   
   
   
8. Remove the front cover Right side
   
   
   
   
   

Side cover removal (Left side)

1. Remove the front cover left side. release the claw (arrow no. 1) and then slide the cover to the right (arrow no. 2)
   
   
   
   
   
2. Remove the screw in the front of the printer
   
   
   
   
   
3. Remove 2 screws from the back of the printer
   
   
   
   
   
4. Release the 6 claws, and remove the left side cover
   
   
   
   
   

Scanner Removal

1. The scanner flexible cable (shown by red line) installation passes under the scanner flexible sheet (shown by blue line)
   
   
   
   
   
2. Unplug the cable from connector and then remove the cable from the way before
   
   
   
   
   
3. Unplug the scanner relay cable from connector, then release the cable, then slowly pull up the scanner unit to remove it
   
   
   
   
   
4. The printer cover and scanner already removed
