How to fix printing output : line or table not straight

If the printing output of your inkjet printer is not straight like the picture below, try to check the encoder (timing) strip on your printer, maybe the encoder is dirty or damaged.

Step 1: Check the Encoder Strip

  • If dirty, try clean using wet tissue dampened with alcohol or water or you can also use a soft cloth.
  • If damaged, try to replace it with a new encoder strip.
  • Do a test print, if this step not resolves the problem, try the next step.

Step 2: Check the Timing Disk / Encoder Disk

  • If dirty, try clean using wet tissue dampened with alcohol or water or you can also use a soft cloth.
  • If damaged, try to replace it with a new encoder disk.
  • Do a test print, if this step not resolves the problem, try the next step.
 Step 3: Re-setting Print Head Alignment
  • Turn on the printer.
  • Open Control Panel > Device and Printer.
  • Locate your online printer icon then right click > select Printing Preferences.
  • Find the Print Head Alignment menu, then follow the Instruction.
  • Do a test print, if the printing results still not straight, there is any problem with the way of the cartridge carriage.

If these steps not fixing the printing output, call the Printer Technician near you to fix your printer or bring your printer to Printer Service Center.
